Charlene provides Gorman Health Group clients more than 28 years of experience in leadership roles managing Medicare Advantage and Part D operations in a compliant and efficient manner. Charlene’s background includes a combination of operations, network development and compliance experience. Clients look to Charlene to improve operational functions, maximize organizational revenue, and to develop education tools. She helps clients to understand and own the Medicare requirements that govern their functions.
Charlene’s areas of expertise include network development (including oversight of credentialing), grievance and appeals, enrollment/disenrollment, and Part D. She is also experienced in start-up operations and application and bid submission.
Recently, Charlene worked with a GHG client to submit a new application. She also conducted an MA-PD and PDP audit preparation for a regional health plan and was responsible for ensuring the MA organization’s readiness for a CMS audit in the areas of Provider Networking and Credentialing.
Prior to joining Gorman Health Group, Charlene held senior management positions in the Medicare Advantage industry. In a recent position, Charlene served in the position of Vice President of Operations and Chief Compliance Officer for a start-up HMO where she was responsible for network development, credentialing, regulatory filings, and selection and management of a Third Party Administrator partner. Charlene was also responsible for operations development and implementation of the Compliance Program along with Appeals & Grievances including oversight of the annual Medicare application and bid process.
