Freda Hogan brings over 25 years of healthcare industry experience to her role at Gorman Health Group (GHG). Prior to joining the GHG Freda enjoyed a diverse career specializing in managed care, Medicare Advantage, Part D specialty pharmacy, Medicaid and commercial operations; RFP development and government RFP responses for bid proposals with state Medicaid programs and Medicare Advantage programs; network development and contracting hospitals, delivery systems, physicians, IPA’s, PHO’s, MSO’s plus other operational responsibilities including health services and accreditation aspects. .
She has been a successful senior executive team member completing start-up health plan implementations across the country, including the University of Chicago. She has held senior management positions with United Healthcare, HealthNet and Humana managed healthcare Plans. She has clinical experience as an ICU nurse; health plan medical management/care coordination; medical home and ACO development.
Her experience spans from hospital system, intensive care clinical operations; physician practice management and recruiting to managed health plan operations. Her expertise ranges from national provider network development, to full health plan operations including, IT, HR, PR, finance, medical economics, credentialing, care coordination, claims, venture capitalists funding and board presentations. Freda has also participated in speaking engagements and panel discussions for healthcare industry forums related to managed care topics.
Freda and holds a Masters degree in Health Services Administration. She has been a member of the advisory boards for specialty pharmacy and a biotech laboratory organization. She is an active member of the Women Business Leaders in Healthcare organization. In addition, she serves as adjunct faculty of Nova Southeastern and Barry University’s business management schools. She holds a six sigma green belt.
Freda is active in charity fundraising events in her local community.
