John Wells

John brings to Gorman Health Group more than 20 years of experience with Medicare managed care with expertise in the areas of regulatory compliance, health plan operations and software solutions.

John has worked for or consulted with local, regional and national health plans that focused on the Medicare markets.  He also worked for a software company that focused on health plan IT solutions, including Medicare Advantage.  He has developed and implemented Compliance Plans and ethic programs for a number of health plans.  He had been responsible for obtaining approval from CMS on more than 15 Medicare managed care applications and has worked to achieve closure by CMS of more than 100 corrective action plans.  Most recently, John served as the Compliance Officer for Bravo Health, a national PDP plan and multi-state Medicare Advantage plan.  While at Bravo Health, John implemented a compliance infrastructure to address the plan’s regulatory issues, lead the plan through two CMS site visits, and achieved closure from CMS of more than 30 corrective action plans.

His engagements focus in the area of Medicare regulatory compliance and solutions where he has served as a health plan’s interim Compliance Officer and an advisor to Compliance Officers and senior level health plan executives on how to address and resolve regulatory compliance matters with CMS.
