Liza Arias

Liza Arias brings to Gorman Health Group clients more than 15 years of experience in Medicare Advantage regulatory compliance and managed care operations with a focus on enrollment, disenrollment, grievance and appeals and member services.  Our clients turn to Liza for her extensive experience with creating policies and procedures, conducting compliance audits and conducting gap analyses of operations.  

Liza is also strong leader of implementation teams and has a proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding goals and delivering a high level of performance for GHG clients.

Recently, Liza helped to conduct a credentialing audit for a prominent regional Medicare Advantage organization and successfully helped another GHG client to prepare for a CMS audit.  Liza has also conducted a MA-PD and PDP mock audit for a regional health plan and was responsible for ensuring the MA organization’s enrollment department met CMS guidelines. 

Liza also brings a strategic focus on benefit design, benefit and trend analysis, bid development and CMS filing and has assisted MA plans to develop strong benefit portfolios, with an emphasis on SNPs. 

Prior to her role at GHG, Liza held a management position with a Special Needs Plan where she was responsible for the organization’s day-to-day operations. Liza has also served in compliance and internal audit role with two other MAOs in the greater Los Angeles market. While in compliance, Liza was responsible for conducting internal audits, implementing internal corrective action plans, creating detailed training for compliance and operations, compliance interpretation and implementation, and CMS audit preparation.
