Steve is a Senior Consultant on Provider Network Management Team and a key contributor to the success of provider network development projects for major health plans across the country.  In this capacity, he conducts network development outreach and negotiation of provider reimbursement rates and contractual language.

Prior to joining Gorman Health Group (GHG) he strategically led the build-out of a national provider network in thirteen states for a Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plan.  His efforts yielded CMS contracts in all targeted markets.  In his role as Director of Network Development and Provider Relations for TriServ Alliance, Steve was responsible for network composition and sizing in a ten state region, marketing strategies, strategic alliances, provider recruitment, contract negotiations and analysis in support of company cost targets and specific contracting goals.

In this role, he successfully identified marketing opportunities and negotiated and implemented exclusive managed care contracts with payers on behalf of the IPA.  Additionally, he implemented and directed a successful process for centralized claims operations and provider reimbursement for the IPA.

Steve worked as an independent consultant for multiple payer and provider organizations including hospitals, ancillary providers, IPA’s, large PCP groups and specialty providers.  In this capacity, he specialized in network development, managed care contract negotiations, cost analysis, network design and contractual language for clients in the Medicare Advantage and Medicaid markets. He also negotiated managed care contracts in support of reimbursement goals with key hospitals, provider groups and ancillaries on behalf of his clients.

Steve received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Kansas State College of Pittsburg and a Doctorate in Chiropractic from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City.
