Betsy Flaherty is an experienced Medicare managed care compliance professional whose technical expertise supports numerous GHG product and service offerings. Betsy is one of GHG’s ”engineers,” responsible for the technical management of COMPASS™, GHG’s proprietary auditing tool.

Since joining GHG, Betsy has helped  health plans attain and maintain compliance with CMS regulations and guidance by conducting gap analyses of plan operations, preparing plans for CMS audits, performing mock MA-PD, PDP and PBM audits, and reviewing Medicare marketing materials prior to submission to CMS.

Betsy assists health plans entering the Medicare managed care market by providing competitive analysis and implementation support. Betsy supports plans with the CMS MA-PD and PDP application process by using GeoNetworks, an application used to map provider network accessibility for Medicare beneficiaries. She also works on prescription drug event (PDE) reconciliation engagements to help limit health plans’ financial liability.

Prior to joining GHG, Betsy worked for a social HMO in Southern California where she served in compliance and was responsible for internal auditing, creation and implementation of on-line compliance training, as well as compliance marketing review.

Betsy currently resides in Long Beach, California.
