Piers Bocock,
Vice President for Information Technology
and Knowledge Management with GHG, is responsible for the IT and Knowledge Management departments, whose joint purpose is to provide effective and efficient access to communication, collaboration, and technology tools that facilitate effective service delivery to GHG’s stakeholders.  He started his career with GHG in 2005 as Director of Technology and Knowledge Management, at which time he began building the company's IT Department and Knowledge Management infrastructure.

Piers has more than fifteen years of professional experience in helping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) grow by providing strategic, technology, marketing, communications, and product development support.  He has worked in more than a dozen countries around the world, assisting entrepreneurs, start-ups, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), associations, private companies and governments to address and overcome growth constraints. As a Senior Development Specialist for Development Alternatives, Inc. (DAI), he helped SMEs in developing countries address market challenges, supply chain constraints, and growth opportunities.

Prior to that, he served as Director of Technology for Innovation Network, developing a technology platform for online tools and knowledge sharing to improve NGO effectiveness.  As an independent consultant, he provided technology, strategy and communications services to government agencies, associations, SMEs, and nonprofits. As founder of Stratecomm, he helped build and develop an online design and communications firm.   He is a published author on a variety of subjects including environmental issues, technology solutions, and SME development.

Piers earned his undergraduate degree in communications from McGill University and his MBA in strategy and international business from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
