Sharon Durfee brings to Gorman Health Group extensive expertise in Medicare Part B and Part D drug coverage issues, specializing in drug infusion and injectable therapies.

Sharon is the author of  GHG’s B versus D Navigator tool designed to help Medicare Part D sponsors bill and process Medicare prescription drug claims more accurately and efficiently.  Sharon has also  spoken on behalf of GHG at seminars on Medicare Part B and Pat D billing issues.

In addition to her role as a senior consultant at Gorman Health Group, Sharon is an adjunct clinical faculty member at the University of Wyoming School of Pharmacy and is board certified in nutrition support pharmacy practice.

Sharon is active in the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN), as the Chair of the Public Relations Committee. She recently participated in the revision of the Standards of Practice for Pharmacists.

Previously, she chaired the task force to revise and update the ASPEN Standards for Specialized Nutrition Support for Adult Residents of Long Term Care Facilities.  She has been on the board of directors for the Colorado Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition for many years.  Sharon is also a member and chair of the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties Specialty Council on Nutrition Support Pharmacy.

Sharon earned a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the University of Wyoming. She currently resides in Colorado.
