Catherine Cooke brings to Gorman
Health Group a variety of clinical
and business skill sets in the areas
of Primary Care and Managed Care
Pharmacy.
She provides direct patient
care to Medicare members with
managed pharmacy benefits and
assists managed care and Medicare
organizations with formulary
management, disease state
evaluations and outcomes research.
In addition, she has launched
products with pharmaceutical
companies and developed push-through
and pull-through strategies to
increase brand product sales and
market share within managed care.
Prior to joining GHG, Catherine was
a Senior Clinical Education Manager
for Pfizer, Inc. where she developed
and implemented strategies to
improve Pfizer’s portfolio in
managed markets.
Previous to her term at
Pfizer, Inc., Catherine was an
Assistant Professor at the
University of Maryland School of
Pharmacy. She worked to integrate
managed care practices and
principles into the pharmacy
curriculum and develop experiential
learning sites in managed care.
Catherine still serves on the
faculty at the University of Maryland as a Clinical Associate Professor.
Catherine has published several
articles in peer-reviewed journals,
and has been a speaker at local and
national meetings and conferences.
Past awards include the “Vice
President’s Management Cabinet
“award for outstanding performance
from Pfizer, Inc. and the
“Innovative Practice Award” from the
Maryland Pharmacists Association.
