Cathie Mortello offers GHG clients a wide background in managed care and Medicare.  She has 19 years experience in managed care and 9 years in Medicare from the health plan perspective. 

Before joining GHG she worked as a manager of Medicare Compliance for Health Net, Inc. She had varied responsibilities including maintaining the working relationship with the CMS Region IX office.  She has a clinical background with extensive knowledge of Medicare benefits.  She also participated in three successful CMS Monitoring visits at Health Net of Arizona. She has participated in internal audits of every operational area in the company to evaluate compliance with Medicare regulations.  She has conducted numerous trainings for the Medical Management and Appeals and Grievances staff. Recently, Cathie’s focus has focused her attention to Medicare’s payments systems and how they affect the health plan operations.  Before devoting her time to Medicare she worked in the quality management department and headed the credentialing department for all of Health Net of Arizona.

Cathie lives in Tucson with her husband and two grown children.  Her hobbies include hiking and biking.  Cathie is a registered nurse.
