Craig Lyon brings to Gorman Health Group over 25 years of experience in provider network development, physician group practice and contracting. Craig has worked with a wide variety of healthcare organizations including health plans, hospitals, medical groups, Independent Practice Associations (IPA), Medical Service Organizations (MSO) and related entities.

While with Gorman his work has focused on developing CMS compliant provider networks for Medicare Advantage (MA) plans.  His work with new and existing plans wanting to expand has lead to numerous successful CMS applications approvals for HMO, PPO, and Special Needs Plans.  The delivered services include development of Medicare compliant provider contracts, managing provider contracting and credentialing campaigns, reimbursement strategy, provider database development and management, Health Service Delivery table creation and assistance with other network related CMS application materials. In addition, Craig has worked with provider groups to review their contracts with various health insurance plans.

Mr. Lyon has extensive experience in provider network development on behalf of payors including managing contract language and rates negotiations with physicians, and multi-specialty groups. His experience also includes in physician group practice management including compensation strategies and methods, billing and AR, facilities, systems and electronic medical records. Finally, he has also directed the development of managed care programs in group practice environments including payor negotiation and contracting (risk and non-risk), primary and specialty panel development and selection, contract development, rate setting, selection of third-party administrators and operations.

Mr. Lyon has previously held senior management positions with organizations such as Sutter Health System, Sutter Medical Foundation, Sutter North Medical Group, Sacramento Sierra Medical Group and Memorial-Herman Hospital and The Pace Group.

Craig currently lives in California.
