Shivani brings to Gorman Health Group knowledge in Medicare managed care operations and operational policy. Since joining GHG, she has worked on consulting engagements ranging from marketing review to enrollment reconciliation. In addition, she writes and negotiates proposals and reviews contracts between GHG and its various clients.

Prior to joining GHG, Shivani worked at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in both the Chicago regional office and Central Office in Baltimore, Maryland. While in Chicago, her responsibilities included providing technical assistance and biennial audits for 12 health plans, including two national plans. In addition, she has reviewed applications from health plans to become both Medicare Drug Discount Card sponsors and Medicare Advantage plans. Finally, she served as co-Project Officer on the marketing review contract for the Medicare Drug Discount Card program.

While at Central Office, Shivani was a member of the Medicare Marketing Team in the Medicare Drug Benefit Group. There she assisted in the development of operational marketing policy related to the prescription drug benefit. In addition to her experience at CMS, Shivani has worked at the U.S. Government Accountability Office on the Health Care team. There she conducted performance audits on agencies within the Department of Health and Human Services.

Shivani has a master's degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. She currently lives in the Washington, D.C. area.
