Senior Consultant, Pharmacy Services
Dawn Shojai is a Senior Consultant of Pharmacy Services at Gorman Health Group (GHG). In this role, she has been involved in projects for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) audit preparation and remediation, Part D readiness, delegation oversight and monitoring, and Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) contracting. Dawn brings GHG clients more than 20 years of pharmacy experience.
Dawn’s background in Medicare Part D includes experience from both the health plan perspective and the PBM point of view. Her Medicare experience includes leading a multidisciplinary team in areas of regulatory compliance, CMS audit preparation, PBM contracting and implementation, delegation oversight, and formulary implementation and maintenance for Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MA-PD) plans and Prescription Drug Plans (PDPs), knowledge of adjudication systems, and implementing CMS guidance.
Prior to joining GHG, Dawn was the Director of Pharmacy at a Medicaid Managed Care organization and Clinical Director of a chronic disease management program at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. She began her career at a tertiary teaching hospital in California, was a voting member of the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee, and ran an anticoagulation clinic.
Dawn received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of the Pacific School of Pharmacy and has completed residency and post-doctoral fellowship in epidemiology and public health.
