Lisa Artale Bross is a Senior Consultant at Gorman Health Group (GHG). In this role, she provides our clients with compliance support and guidance on regulatory requirements; assists clients with overall Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) audit preparation, Compliance Program Effectiveness (CPE), and Part C/D grievances technical guidance and remediation; and serves in interim Compliance staffing roles. Lisa brings GHG clients more than 18 years of experience in state and federal regulatory compliance along with extensive audit and compliance expertise, passion, and dedication to her work.
Prior to joining GHG, Lisa served as the Medicare Compliance Officer for a Colorado health plan where she was responsible for promoting and ensuring compliance with Medicare Advantage (MA) and Part D requirements as well as other federal and state laws, regulations, and guidance. Lisa also spent nearly 10 years with CMS, during which time she held various positions, including a key role as a CMS Regional Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MA-PD) plan Contract Manager. Some of her specific responsibilities included Medicare health and drug plan oversight, including MA-PD, Special Needs Plans (SNPs), Health Care Pre-Payment, Medicare Medical Savings Account (MSA), and Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) plans); review of MA-PD and MSA initial and service area expansion (SAE) applications; review of marketing materials; and education/training for internal and external groups such as employer/unions and CMS-contracted audit staff.
During her later tenure at CMS, Lisa’s primary focus was leading, coordinating, and conducting programmatic audits to identify operational deficiencies and monitoring corrective action plans (CAPs) to ensure identified deficiencies were corrected. Lisa’s audit specializations included both Part C and Part D appeals and grievances and CPE reviews.
Lisa resides in Denver, Colorado, with her husband and dogs where she enjoys doing outdoor activities such as hiking, snowshoeing, and bicycling.
